Programmer and Linux Technician
Diccon is a B.Sc Computing graduate Bournemouth (2007). He has been working for ATA since 2003 part time and 2007 full time as a programmer and software engineer.
Qualifications
Learning Java during his A level computing coursework and becoming very familiar to the Linux operating system during his University years Diccon has developed a great personal interest in the technology with which he works. He successfully completed his degree in 2007 achieving an upper second class Degree and a First Class Distinction in his Dissertation (http://dec.bournemouth.ac.uk/projectlibrary/comp0607.html). Through course material, work or personal interest he is fluent in many programming languages and software applications (see below)
Past work
In addition to his work with ATA He worked an intern-ship with a Software house, XKO, for a 10 month contract. During this time he became familial with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product he dealt with, which encompassed accounting, stock management and Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS). He also contributed to the internal IT management of his branch and dealt with varying technical issues directly for a diverse base of industry clients.
As a software developer Diccon has worked on in many industrial sectors and application types. Steel construction, Point of sale, information systems, information websites, ecommerce, accounting and more.
